Every expectation is a familiar kind of abstraction. A self-organizing system exists independent of human will, in it like kinds and individuals are separated by degrees. The myth of Dominion is ours alone.

Lankford received his BA from The University of South Carolina in 1997 and his MFA from Parsons the New School for Design in 2008. He is the recipient of the Arthur B. Carles Award from the Wayne Art Center, Wayne, PA.; the Dean's scholarship and the Anatol Shulkin Memorial merit scholarship at Parsons. His work has been published in Wired magazine. Currently he works in New York City where he lives with one turtle and a fish.
